Perhaps that subject is misleading. I'm interested in most of the
status of Xdirectfb. I use xawtv to view tv. It uses 0% cpu because it
uses xv to render.
Now, what would be my situation in xdirectfb?
I've seen on the site it says it doesn't yet support xv, but it doesn't
say if it really needs to in order to have the same effect. Does it?
Also, i take it no gtk1.2x apps will work with xdirectfb?
Finally, is Xdirectfb more accellerated for say the matrox G4xx card
than xfree86 is, not counting dga/xv and gl, in 2d?
Does xdirectfb aim to duplicate the functionality of xfree86 with such
things as RENDER and xv and all that or something different?
I really like trying new things and the thought of having something take
advantage of what i have more than what i'm using and be more
streamlined is enticing.
