XV doesn't work but you can watch TV using a native DirectFB application.
mplayer seems to work, dfbsee works but cannot tune, and there's dfbtv,
a dedicated DirectFB application for analog TV.

all X11 applications should work with XDirectFB unless they depend on
an unsupported X11 extension. Thus almost all gtk+-1.2 applications
should work.
