Hi Sven,
This time i have installed kernel 2.4.22 & enabled Frame buffer successfully.
I went ahead installing the latest versions of DirectFB & gtk+-directfb also.
( DirectFB-0.9.20, gtk+-directfb-2.0.9 )
But after all successfull installation, I am still getting,
"Gtk WARNING:can't open display: /dev/fb0"
I have even changed the permissions to /dev/fb0, but without any success.
Surprisingly when i run a demo appln "pixbufdemo" executable in the "demos"
directory of "gtk+-directfb", i could see an animation running endlessely,
but i am unable to stop it ( may be i am missing some hot keys to stop
execution).
At the same time if i try to run some scripts in "tests" directory they give
me the simillar error statement "failing to open /dev/fb0".
I sincerely expect suggessions from your end as i am facing this problem from
quite a long time.
Thanks a lot for all guidence till now, hope this will continue in future as
well.
regards,
Bheemesh.
