When that was done, I got a picture and I recognized that I swaped
blue and green components. By this I can tell now that RGB signalling
line works, as both TV display modes (composite and rgb) showed wrong
colors. That was with matrox-cable-type=scart-rgb. By specifying
matrox-cable-type=scart-composite I could switch from composite
(correct colors) to rgb (wrong colors). So now I have the right colors
in both modes, I'm a bit disappointed by RGB mode. Colors are looking
a bit flat compared to composite signal.
I got the scart-rgb cable also and here the colors & the picture are
looking very good. Just guessing here but did you use shielded coaxial
cable with every color signal (R,G,B)? Without shielding, the wires could
pick up some noise.
My TV is also Sony (but very old, MY -89) and with Matrox the picture is
just stunning. Does your other equipment give flat colors with RGB? Sounds
weird that composite could beat RGB...
