Anything we did regarding X or Xorg was ONLY on an X86 desktop using SDL. We never even attempted to use X or Xorg or XDirectFB on the ARM.
We didn't really use XDirectFB (even on the desktop). We used SDL which has hooks for DirectFB (I think I'm saying that right). And this was ONLY done only done on the Desktop system. So in regards to the ARM and X, Xorg, or XDirectFB, I can not help you. I hope this answers your questions!
