That's kind of academic, because Nominet (people who deal with the .uk
namespace) won't let you register a 2 letter domain either - it could
cause conflicts with the 2 letter country codes... eg uk.co.uk
You can register a1.co.uk for example ie a letter and a number or
a-a.co.uk ie letter hyphen letter, but not aa.co.uk
