i've just registered 627846.com for $1 with staples.register.com
so that must mean any alphanumeric combination will work
i think the only restriction is that a domain name "Cannot begin or end with
a hyphen" or be more that 63 long etc
it must also mean that selling cheap domain names is a quick way to lose
money
unless you can wait a year and hope to catch out your clients with an
expensive renewal fee
we don't really sell domain names - we include them in the overall price of
designing & hosting our clients websites
using openSRS gives us total control over the technical side of running the
domain without relying on a disinterested third party like NetSol
plus at $10 we also get them at a great price
were also members of Nominet for .uk domains - for the same control & price
(GBP 5) reasons
but don't forget Nominet charge GBP 400 to join plus 100 quid per year
membership - so openSRS looks even more of a bargain
