ICANN has nothing to do with providing WHOIS services for .CA domains
though, do they?
OpenSRS's server can resolve .COM/.NET/.ORG domains, which is, AFAIK, all
it's required to do. Unfortunately, it's also a whois proxy, but that's
another issue altogether.
