The OpenSRS whois server is only 'required' to provide information for
OpenSRS domain names. That being said, it's configured to search other
ICANN Registrar's whois servers (if possible), and even query .ca and .uk
names (via command line, not web based). All the whois server does when
not authoritative is query the appropriate server and dump the data back
to the querier.
