If the domain expiration date is 2 days ago - you are OK and you can
transfer. We have been able to transfer domain upt 30 days past expiration
date.
If the domain went ON HOLD, e.d the domain whois no longer shows you as an
owner, you are out of luck... I called Network Solutions on one of those
that went on HOLD on 16th and according to 3 different reps, it could not
even be renewed with them any longer- even if we sent overnight payment. On
the other hand, all the reps I spoke to seemed to know less about domain
registrations and renewals than our average customer... so go figure.
If your domain went ON HOLD on 16th of this month - BE at the registration
screens on the 22nd of February from 5AM through 8AM Eastern time and try
re-registering this domain like crazy.
