Hmm, well a domain costs $10, doing a manual switch of that kind is likely
to cost us three times as much of overhead.
The FAQ says:

Normally, changing RSPs is only required if the current RSP has gone out of
business or the domain needs to be renewed. In these cases, we require a
fax signed by the Domain owner on company letterhead with the following info:
Domain names, owner and Email address.
Current RSP
New RSP's username
Fax: 416-531-2516 Attn: OpenSRS Support
The process could take several days.

Well unfortunately the assumption that the change is only required when an
RSP goes out of business is not true. We need to change RSP because our
client wants to have the domain paid by us (because we're not charging the
client because the domain is bundled with another service).
From OpenSRS's point of view switching between RSP is so much simpler than
switching between registrars...
