Well Dave here is my answer to the $6.50 domain registration part...

William answered the canadian court portion very well.

I have already moved 500 domains to stargateinc.com. (By the way those 500
domains still show in my openSRS interface and say deactivated even though
they are moved...a BIG OpenSRS problem!) Stargate's interface is great and
you can even change nameservers on all domains at once. I have never been
spammed nor will my customers since it is a bulk account and they know we
are resellers. Do we really have to ask why they are happy to make 50 cents
per domain or should we be asking why Opensrs has to make $4.00 per domain.

For those interested what Dave is talking about, it is the reseller bulk
account that is available at http://www.stargateinc.com that lets bulk users
register and transfer domains for $6.50 per domain year.

Another good thing is that they are located in the good ole United States so
any disputes will be able to be resolved in this country with much less
expense.

OpenSRS was a good deal a year ago but if I ever knew I could be made to
litigate disputes in Canada because they are located there I never would
have used them.

Luckily my $7000.00 annual savings on registrations will more than cover my
legal expenses on foamy.com.

Jack

I'm curious, what exactly do you have against Canadian courts?

Now just think... Why ohh why would they be taking only $0.50 profit?
Perhaps because they are going to spam your customers until they jumpship
from your web hosting, and go to your new registrar directly, thereby
cutting out your markup completely?
