Hmm.  I've got one pending right now from Register.com
that's been "Awaiting Registry Approval" since 3/16.
I thought they timed out and automatically transferred
after 5 days...

FWIW:

I do have one customer who had over 300 domains with register.com and
transferred them to us with no hassle from register.com, other than the
usual "verification" procedures, which I told him he could ignore, as long
as he followed the opensrs verification procedures.
