as a domain hosting provider, i follow a similar process when i receive
a notification that another company will be taking over one of my
customer's hosting services. we're fairly small and this doesn't happen
very often, but the last two times it did, the other company was not
supposed to initiate the change. they signed up my customer for
business DSL service and as a matter of course they started the process
for hosting their domain as well. both times the customer only wanted
DSL from this company and wanted to keep their domain hosting with my
company. both times my inquiry kept the domain owner from getting
screwed.
was i violating any rules?
