Hi Chuck,
I've had it with these fraudulent transfers -- I've just received two this
week from Tucows resellers. I've recently brought a situation just like this
to Tucows I was told by "compliance" that nothing could be done. I don't buy
that!
I feel it's time to expose either the Customers or Resellers who initiate such
transfers. This is WIRE FRAUD and may, in fact, be the first step in domain
theft (it's NEVER the junky domains that are slammed). I've posted this to our
discussion list and invite our peers to share their views -- and for the two
Resellers in question to bring us the criminals!
Please don't go into the fact that these domains will not be transfered if I
simply don't acknowledge the request -- I WON'T; I KNOW THAT! My point is that
without punitive action these Slim Bags will continue this practice.
If Team Burlee or Team Advantage are reputable resellers, let them expose the
customers who initiated these frauds. They have their credit cards. They who
they are. Short of that, I must assume that this is Reseller slamming and
Tucows should sanction these Resellers. Either way, let's start a HALL OF
SHAME for repeat offenders! Wire Fraud is not a private affair.
Best, Loren
The two transfer requests follow -- one sent by "Loren Stocker." Right!
