Sorry, .. but wrong on both counts <smile>! I just checked (hey, OpenSRS, 
.. when will we get confirmation emails <g>??) and our two transfers were 
approved by NSI, 10 days from expiration - they took exactly seven days.

Also, I just renewed two domains that HAD expired FOR one year (though I 
had to pay $40 retail charge for one that was originally registered by our 
client). In a few months, I will put through the transfer so we can then 
administer via OpenSRS.
