You are correct, A court order is the one valid reason to delete a
domain.

It's still stupid. Because deleting a domain simply causes it to become
available and cause problems all over again. But we have libraries full
of stupid laws.

I believe that lawyers want domains deleted so that they can make money
on fighting the same case over and over.
