You may not realize it, but the default OpenSRS message will actually consolidate multiple domains in one message if (I believe) the e-mail address of each domain is the same and the expiration dates are close. If this ever happens (its probably rare), the message will list the domains like:
domain1.com expiration date domain2.com expiration date This type of behavior makes it difficult to include the domain name(s) in the subject line especially when there is more than one. I would suggest doing what we did way back in January 2001 (when our first OpenSRS registered domains began expiring). We have the messages to end users turned off and the daily RSP report turned on. The daily RSP report is e-mailed to a special e-mail address that is tied to a script that parses the report and sends custom renewal notices from our system. I'm sure most if not all of the bigger RSP's do something very similar.
