I just tried on FreeBSD and it took not quite 2 seconds. That's from my browser -> colo server -> OpenSRS -> colo server -> back to my browser. Have you ruled out network factors?

When someone, including myself, puts a name in one of the boxes - to see if they can register/transfer it...the interface takes about 25 seconds to find out if that domain is taken. When I do it on OpenSrs site it is much faster. The same is true of the management interface. I tried some other sites that are rsp's and they are slow as well. My question is, WTHey? Does anyone have an interface working at good speed, and if so, what kind of os/webserver. Mine is running on win2k and I think the examples I tried from other sites were as well. PS I sent this to support, but they have moved or something - we got bounce back (something about it will try for awhile, then it couldn't deliver and gave up) -- Thanks, Kevin
