I'm sorry, but I just don't buy it without evidence to the contrary. 
People who pay a premium to SnapNames have a huge advantage over the 
little guy contacting the registrar directly for a valuable name.

Yes, the little guy can occasionally randomly get a valuable domain 
without paying a premium. But using SnapNames or a similar service vastly 
increases his chances (vs. a person not using any such service). You 
can't be seriously arguing otherwise. If so, I want to see numbers before 
I'll accept something so obviously counter to common sense.
