Yeah, it required us to send in a letter from our bank manager back
when I had to deal with it for ourselves, and jump through some other
hoops.

But I'd like to know if D&B has perhaps changed their requirements,
and streamlined the process in use now so that customers are not so
inconvenienced over this

Quite simply, I have an issue with this kind of verification being
necessary for should be considered such a commodity level service, but
the industry protects itself fiercely, and if they didn't keep it at
this level they would have a hard time justifying the high margins
they demand now, as then we might see some true competition in the
market.   Instead they work together to set the standards for a CA's
practices so high that it makes it damn near impossible for a new
comer to come in and legitimately compete.
