This was brought up on the DNSO GA mailing list on April 18th. The Transfers Task Force is supposed to solicit public input, and make a report by June. However, if one reads their mailing list, at: http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/nc-transfer/Arc00/ one sees nothing openly about WLS, and very little traffic. It's not clear how one can join that list or participate. Ross of Tucows/OpenSRS is on that task force, though, so perhaps he can lend some insights as to procedures. I intend to produce a lengthy submission, now that the ball is out of Verisign's hands and they don't control the process. All their self-contradictory statements, and faulty reasoning, will be highlighted. I've been waiting for them to "amend" once more their current proposal, or at least provide the "final" proposal, so I don't waste time dissecting the wrong document. Of course, Verisign doesn't respond when asked, so it might be more fruitful for the Task Force to ask officially. Or, it could just be that they have bigger fish to fry these days at Verisign, given the impending layoffs purported at: http://www.nsihorrorstories.com/index.shtml Sincerely, George Kirikos http://www.kirikos.com/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
