As was stated previously (this happened a lot at first) - Unable to verify
existence means our system couldn't get a response from the registry on
the validity of those nameservers for a .us domain (regardless if they're
there)

The second error means your domain is locked - the error (for a locked
.us) will be improved tomorrow, as well as the ability to unlock your .us
domain (currently it's unlockable)
