I think I understand what you are getting at and I see no problems here. However, I feel that the resellers site name should be posted/incorporated in the letter. (IE: You had your domain registered with one of our resellers 4CheapDomains.Net) I can't give a better example as I have not seen a copy of your letter yet. But that will also save MUCH confusion when you do this....
