At first blush it would seem that simply renewing all domains would be
more costly and not cost effective.
However the cost of renewing for 1yr plus the cost of the mm dd to get
all to expire on the same date would be exactly the same as renewing all
the domains.

Question,
Is there a bulk renewal option?...I am just getting my ducks in a row to
become a reseller.

Do resellers have the expirations tracked by the software so that
announcements of impending expirations come say 45 days before?

If that announcement could arrive...say 200 days before
expiration...then a statement could be issued to those clients who have
requested that kind of service that would allow them to renew all
domains that expire within the next 6 months.
Alternatively, the client that has hundreds of names could request to be
billed for the renewal for those domainnames that is to expire
quarterly, 2 months or even one month. This would allow automatic
renewal to be implemented with no or less risk to the reseller.
and...
What are the risks of automatic renewal to the reseller; what if it was
automatically renewed and the client or credit card refused to allow
payment or and requested a chargeback.
