When you say "Registrants of existing .nf domain names will be able to keep
them and will be able to register the equivalent .nl domain names."

Is is free? If not, why not?

If there is a migration from NF to NL for everyone, why would the registrant
have to pay for that?

What if someone wants to surrender their NF, and obtain a NL instead?

I can appreciate that if someone wants to keep their NF, and also have an
NL, that they'd need to pay for it. But if they surrender their NF and
migrate to NL it should be free.

It's not the user's fault that the province has renamed itself.

As a result of Canada Post's announcement that, effective
October 21,2002, Newfoundland and Labrador will be recognized by the
postal symbol NL, CIRA will no longer accept .nf registrations.
Registrants of existing .nf domain names will be able to keep them
and will be able to register the equivalent .nl domain names.
