https://www.nextregistrationrights.com/backorder.sn is still showing October 27th, and that site is VeriSign. Is there an official date that VeriSign has announced, or any statement saying it *won't* be implemented on October 27th? Simply removing the date "October 27th" from: http://www.verisign.com/nds/naming/namestore/wls/ at the registry level, yet continuing on their pre-scheduled Operational Testing dates, etc, shows bad faith. Not showing the date doesn't mean that October 27th isn't the date. If you have an authority saying the date is now December 5th or January 12th or something, I'd be happy know of it. Also, consider the language at: http://www.icann.org/correspondence/twomey-to-lewis-03oct03.htm "Various press reports have quoted VeriSign representatives as being concerned about the processes by which changes in the operation of top-level domains are evaluated and approved by ICANN. I share those concerns. The introduction by registry operators of new products or services that do not threaten adverse effects to the Internet, the DNS or the top-level domains which they operate should not be impeded by unnecessary or prolonged processes." If that's not an olive branch over WLS, I don't know what is.... Sincerely, George Kirikos http://www.kirikos.com/
