I read about TDF on the web page and didn't learn anything, except the bio's of
a bunch of people. My experience with LO was nothing, as I never installed it.
You just don't get it - the web page is the problem. There is nothing there to
learn.

If you are interested in the next version of OOo, you can do a google
search on OOo roadmap and click on the first link. It talks all about
the features and release timing of OOo 3.3.
If you are interested in learning about TDF, you can read about it at
TDF and this list. I agree that things aren't entirely clear. In part,
that is because the LibO community was waiting to hear from Oracle
whether they would donate the OOo trademark. It seems most likely now
that they won't. In the next couple of weeks, I expect things will
become much more clear, here, and on the TDF website.
I'm sorry your experience with the beta was not what you expected.
