Around the beginning of the year I came across Cody Lindley's thickbox and from there found jquery.com. What was so attractive about jQuery was it's philosophy and the amazingly powerful (but simple) tools it put at your disposal. The ingenious use of CSS selectors, chainability, easy event binding and triggering.... I'm still not sure what my favourite feature is!
