It is always better having a conflict of words Before the act to a conflict of interest After.
IMO, the only mistake was not including Garret's explanatory "baggage" within the original topic opener. --- I stand fully behind DavidHalko's concept of resurrecting as much of the proven SVR4/Solaris concepts instead of trying to port GNU/Solaris11 beta software. There are several years-worth-of-releasing of excellent _and_ useful SystemV and Solaris abandon-ware to do before going on a feature ,err, bug creep. Time is of essence here - once people get forced to port their stuff from Solaris 6/8/10, most will be lost for good. They are so successful on Desktop because they prioritize Bling! over reliability/stability. IO/Illumos bread & butter markets have the focus exactly in the opposite direction. Those are just different worlds. ------------------------------------------- illumos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/182180/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/182180/21175430-2e6923be Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21175430&id_secret=21175430-6a77cda4 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
