I've never owned an SSD in my life until last year when I purchased the 64GB
one (along with the twin 2TB disks).  I'm not the best person to ask about
this.

My router zone runs ipfilter, but I only use the ipnat part of things.  I use
IPsec end-node policy more than most, but that's because I'm biased.

Dump is for kernel panics.  I don't get them unless I'm running experimental
bits, or if I feel like taking a live kernel dump to see something on another
system.
