thanks for your input.
So what we know by now: No matter which Solaris version we run, the
effect always seems to be the same.
What I forgot to mention in my previous mail: The T2000 is equally as noisy!
I had one for a short period of time in 2010, before I needed to sell
it again. When I first switched on the T2000 I didn't believe my ears.
And just as with the T1000 this noise wouldn't decrease through picld
at all    :(

It is as if Porsche designes a top-end sports car, and everything is
just amazing.
Only a tiny problem: Due to a minor design flaw you cannot close the
windows at all.


Ok, so to me the only solution seems to be:

A) Run it remotely, never be in the same room.
B) Replace the fans, or take the system itself into another chassis
all together.
