With regards to Apple patents, Apple did not invent the gestural interface, such interfaces have been around for a few decades. Apple also did not invent the pinch gesture. I used it in Starfire (search Google for Tog Starfire) in 1993. That doesn't mean that Apple's patents aren't valid, only that they do not claim dominion over everything in the universe.
