I think it'd be fair to say that voice controls would largely need to be an enhancement to screen/key/mouse driven input for all the reasons mentioned before. I fear, too, that many of the approaches to voice UI is following the past 20 years of visual UI Design, based on products out there instead of starting from the ground up of "What would someone want a voice UI to do?"
