Precisely.
I do a lot of reading and in the books it is always nicely put ideal
situations and how things play out. I've also been to my fair share of
meetings and been excluded from my fair share as well. If the
meetings/critiques are not retaining the integrity of the goals and
objectives they pertain to, what is the point? Practice and theory are
entirely two different scenarios, take from each what will enhance your
value.

I can attest to the take what went well from the meeting and move on. I'd
like to also add take what works well with whom. What works for some doesn't
work for others.

I would like to be a fly on the wall with the different discussions that
take place just after the meeting is adjourned. The ones I've been involved
in (credible and non) aren't exactly good examples of active listening.
