How about the date range slider in Quicken Online:

The dropdown on the side has preset date ranges (30/60/90 days, etc.)
that expand the gap between the "handles," which are also freely
adjustable (with a pop-up calendar).
Just throwing it out there to see if this (or something similar) would
fit your needs.
