It sounds like you're talking about an extras on demand approach.

Where you have too much to fit on one page, but they still have to be
easily accessible.

Depending on what you're hiding there are various design patterns
you could use, such as:
 - Accordion mensu
 - Collapsable panels
 - Carousels, for more imagery
 - Pagination, for a long page
