So, Slashdot has a new poll, asking how often you google yourself. What
the heck (I say), might as well.

Not ONLY did I find that member information which I thought was private
was one of the hits on the FIRST page, but now that I log in, I see all
sorts of confusing options that I don't recall seeing before.

Yes, it's true, I almost never ever log in, but now that I have, I'd
like an explanation (please) of which answer means what on this page:

https://lopsa.org/user/237/edit/Privacy

Currently, there's two choices I just don't get.

  Partner/Sponsor Opt-Out *
  Yes No

I do not wish to receive information from LOPSA Sponsors and
Partners as specified in the LOPSA Privacy Policy. The content
of this field is kept private and will not be shown publicly.

  Member Directory Opt-Out *
  Yes No

Currently "No" is selected on both of those, but I would think I wanted
"Yes" as in I want to OPT OUT. I never wanted to OPT IN, thank you very
much.

There's more, but basically I am very unhappy to find my information
shared, and accessible, without even the necessity of logging in. My
membership fees are due any day now (I got a notice ages ago), and I'm
trying to think of what it was that I found good.

I'd appreciate anyone who can tell me which choice (yes or no) means
that I want to opt out. I've already removed my personal information,
thanks.
