I do want to correct any perception of worthiness, or lack thereof, that I might have given. I've been retired for nearly five years. It amazes me to realize how long LOPSA has been around. I think of it as recent, but it isn't. I was a charter member, and although I have never been a system administrator, I've certainly had staff that were. In addition, I value the profession. I've been happy to support the organization with the tiny amount that membership fees are, and I'll probably continue to do so. I was just unhappy (very) about the changes on the account, which apparently no one examined, until I objected. Knowing that my personal information was available to the world, against my chosen preferences, will always annoy me. Any time someone has a user base, it's their RESPONSIBILITY to check on how changes might affect information, and previously selected choices. Well, unless you're Facebook, of course. BTW, my favorite birth date for sites that insist on collecting it is the Unix Epoch. I recommend that everyone use it. -- Finding a needle in a haystack is a lot easier if you burn down the haystack and scan the ashes with a metal detector.
