Just saying, the aren't kidding when they say the 2824 is "layer 3 light" - I mean, it works pretty good as a layer2 switch. as a layer 3 switch with static routes? it works, but falls over at about 200Mbps of smaller packets, and it's got many other annoying limitations (for example, it maxes out at 256 vlans.) Just saying, it's not for heavy layer3 work, or for environments that need to handle a lot of vlans. On the other hand, getting firmware for the things is a lot easier than the Cisco switches, which is a big plus in my book. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
