The training materials are generally not available unless you pay for it.


There's one way to to get the training materials without paying for it, 
perfectly legal and ethical.
But you or your proxy have to be physically present.

On the Thursday of the conference, definitely by the Friday morning, USENIX 
staff looks at the daunting number of boxes of stuff they have to take home, 
and makes a decision about they are willing to give away (paper in all forms) 
and what they are willing to discount (clothing and similar goodies).


I've picked up *lots* of tutorial material for free, for my peeps back home, 
via this method.

I've done the same thing for several years, the tutorial materials make a great basis for training back in the office during the year.

As more people get the training material on the USB sticks, there are far fewer paper copies printed, and as a result they are less likely to have leftover copies.
