In no particular order . . . I consider Rob Kolstad to be a friend, and I've worked with him on the quiz show and also on USENIX/SAGE/LOPSA-related stuff for many years; seeing him and working with him is always fun, and I'm glad I got that chance again after so many years.. As one of the people who helps Rob with the quiz show, I always get an extra "bonus": I get to play all five games (yes, there are five) as part of the testing process. :-)
Like Tom (Limoncelli) I also taught a tutorial. Teaching at LISA is always a rush for me, and I feel honored every time I get to do it. I felt especially proud when later in the week one attendee tweeted "someone should have taken @asm2tweet's awesome M3 about presenting." Thanks to everyone who attended my class. For the past 15 years I've hosted the Advanced Topics Workshop. There will be a write-up of the 'results" of the workshop (by Josh Simon, who gets a big THANK YOU for playing scribe/reporter) but for now I'd just like to say what a blast it is to spend a whole days locked in a room with ~30 admins with so many years of sysadmin experience (at least 290 years and maybe as much as 400 years). Finally, as a past LISA Program Chair, I love it when the people who have come after me do so great a job! Tom and Doug, you guys rock! Carolyn (Rowlands, the Chair for 2012) -- no pressure at all. :-) Adam _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
