I am in favor of allowing under 18's for 3 reasons: 1) We can get parental wavers and put the responsibility of ensuring only responsible people can use the potentially hazardous tools
2) We need more members to raise monthly income. Any walls we can tear down that are inhibiting potential members from signing up seems like something we should try to tear down. 3) The youth (16-18) are an important subset of the potential membership of skullspace. We want to foster community and also creativity. Having more group diversity encourages both of these aspects and also invites minds that are not yet bound by the constraints of "formal" directive (work experience, post-secondary, etc...). They also have generally more time available and... lets face it... they know how to make the VCR stop blinking 12:00. (while I realize most of skullspace also knows how to program a VCR, I simply mean that there are already technologies I feel out-of-date with, and youth... are not. ) On Wed, Nov 7, 2012 at 9:39 AM, Justin Lacko <[email protected]> wrote: > Too bad my "It's Good Business" licence probably expired a few years ago... > > On 7 November 2012 09:38, Courtney Lofchick <[email protected]> wrote: > > I think we would be allowed beer in the fridge, we just can't sell it. > > However, a license for a private club is only $300.
