This is something we should talk about at the meeting.  I think conveying the 
message that hackathons are open to the public is a great way to bring people 
in.

Also, having some designated ambassadors on-hand to recognise and welcome new 
people...

Yeah, agreed! I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but it was too far from
where I was working. :)

Seriously though, it was great! I'm really sad that the audience, at
least at the start, was fairly small. Did it start too early? Was there
not enough advertising? How would you guys suggest we do better in the
future?
