I second what Siu said. More complex financial analysis is beyond both the
tools and capability of the volunteer board at present.

There is/was a membership tracking project to create a SkullSpace membership
portal with administrative and accounting features - it has languished due to
resource constraints.

On a more positive side, Grace Polson the cleaning woman will be attending
SkullSpace tomorrow morning to begin regular monthly cleaning. I expect this
expense to be around 100 per
Month.

Typically the requested donation for food or drink at the space is double the
cost, rounded.

i.e. the average cost of canned drinks might be $0.56/can, but we round it up
and request a dollar.

If we assume that sort of pricing, and that everyone is honest and up to date,
then you can estimate the profit as being roughly equal to costs.

Otherwise, you'd have to take inventory regularly and strictly separate food &
drink money from general donations, which I think isn't a good use of volunteer
time. :)

I'll need to interface with Ian and find out where we are at right now.

Thanks Jeremy!

Is there a summary of intake vs expenditure available anywhere? I'd love to
see this - particularly as we are poised to buy more stuff...

If not maybe now would be a good time to take a snapshot of profitability, as
we have nothing on-hand for snacks.

Justin, all drink, food, and donations that are dropped in the box are lumped
under donations. We can't actually "sell" food and drink. Those boxes are
emptied weekly and yes, they are counted.
