I've got several pairs of self powered speakers that auto detect and turn on and off in response to a signal. I use a set of "AR Powered Partners" in my library with a Squeezebox for exactly this reason, they are on top of bookcases way out of reach. The PP are old, I got them at least 14 years ago, you probably can find them on ebay. They are very nice sounding, heavy, each is a triangle about cut from a 10x10 square about four inches thick. I've got some Mackie 824 studio monitors that are also very nice and auto detect. But they are $1000, which may be out of your budget target -- Pat Farrell [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.pfarrell.com _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
