Okay I am just so pleased with what I got setup I had to post to gloat! The beauty of my setup is I have two SB's, a SB1 at home and a SB2 at work. They both are hooked up to 250GB drives dedicated to music, and syncrhonized nightly through an SSH tunnel. So I can rip a CD at home (I rip straight to WAV so its easy) and then have it at work the next day! The whole thing is totally automated, all I do is pop in the CD, click a button in EAC and away it goes.
The next key feature is at home I didn't want to have a noisy computer on all the time, so I bought a KuroBox (just like a Buffalo Linkstation only easier to hack) and threw a 250gb HD in it. It runs SlimServer, and also runs the software for the SSH tunnel. It sits nicely underneath my entertainment center at home, completely hidden and silent! Now for the listening systems: Home: SqueezeBox1 Krell KAV 300i B&W Nautilus 804's (no DAC, stick with simplicity I say) KuroBox w/ 250GB HD Work: SqueezeBox2 Headroom Cosmic / Headroom Base Station One Sennheiser 600's 250GB USB Drive Now I have all 350 of my CDs at work and home, with fully automated syncrhonization. The only thing that kills me is when I get in my car.
