There are a couple of possible issues here - firstly, are you doing any kind of automatic or manual rescan during the time your SB is off? If so, it's very likely that your playlist is being wiped as SC rebuilds the database. There's not much that anyone can do about that AFIAK.
If this isn't your issue, what is your "Maintain Playlist" setting in Squeezecenter settings? It should be Settings/Music Library/Maintain Client Playlist>Remember Playlist.
