A Linksys owner should know for sure, but the last time I looked at the manual for a Linksys wireless router I couldn't find any option to make it behave like a normal AP. You might want to choose a different brand (e.g., Apple or D-Link).
Once you have a device configured as an AP and wired in to the same network your main router is on, configure it to use the same SSID and password.
