What I did when my POS Belkin decided it wanted to barf too much as an router:
I set up a linux box with 'dnsmasq' installed (which does all the NAT, dhcp and such and makes it into a router). Then I took the 'internal' network wire from that and plugged it into one of the 4 ports of the Belkin. I turned off DHCP on the belkin. By plugging into a regular port (not the 'wan' port), it effectively disabled the Belkin from doing NAT, since it only NATs betwenn the local ports and the WAN port.... so with nothing on WAN, it was out of the loop on that. -- snarlydwarf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58534 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
